Meet the TMs: Charlie Owens and Robbie Abillama

Scotts Professional has an extensive network of Territory Managers throughout North America. These field experts are available to answer questions from nursery and greenhouse growers, from finding solutions to common problems to recommending the products that are right for a particular crop. Scotts Professional Territory Managers are divided into two main groups based on their geographic location—the Eastern Region and the Western Region.

Representing the Eastern Region this time around is Charlie Owens of Daphne, Alabama. Charlie covers a region that includes Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and a portion of Florida. A 1990 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in ornamental horticulture, Charlie has been with Scotts Professional since 2005. “I really enjoy developing fertility programs for growers to meet the demanding conditions that we have in the Deep South,” Charlie said. “I like providing technical advice along with customer service to help growers get the most out of our Scotts branded products.”

The Western Region’s Robbie Abillama is relatively new to Scotts Professional, having joined the team approximately ten months ago. Robbie currently resides in The Colony, Texas, and his territory includes the East, Central, South and Gulf Coast regions of the Lone Star State. A graduate of West Texas A & M University, Robbie holds a bachelor’s degree in plant science/agronomy. “I come from a very diverse background of operations and sales management at both the nursery and manufacturing of plant health products levels,” Robbie said. “I focus on providing growers with solutions for all aspects of their nursery and greenhouse operations by being a reliable and trusted resource rather than just a salesperson.”
