Scotts Professional Adds Three Territory Managers to Its Team of Field Experts

MARYSVILLE, OHIO (October 12, 2009) – Scotts Professional is pleased to announce the addition of three new territory managers to its expanding network of field experts. Scotts Professional’s territory managers work with nursery and greenhouse growers throughout North America to develop nutrition and plant protection solutions that result in healthier, more attractive crops.

shannon_ortigosaShannon Ortigosa is the new territory manager for southeastern Florida. A former co-owner and operator of wholesale nursery Mario & Son, Inc. in Homestead, Florida, Ortigosa brings the perspective of a professional grower to her new position with Scotts Professional. Her background also includes purchasing, sales, employee management, event coordination and advertising. Ortigosa is bilingual (Spanish) and earned a bachelor degree in liberal studies from Florida International University’s School of Arts and Sciences.

Robbie Abillama
has taken over territory manager duties for Scotts Professional’s newly created sales region of east, south and central Texas. Abillama comes to Scotts Professional with a degree in plant science and agronomy and a great deal of practical experience in the horticulture industry, including time spent as a professional grower. Fluent in three languages, Abillama has worked in fertilizer sales with Harrell’s, Agrivert and Tri-Pro, Inc, and has also served as vice president of operations for TreeTown USA.

sharon_warschauerSharon Gravitt-Warschauer is Scotts Professional’s new territory manager for the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Gravitt-Warschauer began her career as a grower and has more than twenty-seven years of experience in horticultural company management, sales and marketing. She comes to Scotts Professional from her former position as a regional sales manager for EuroAmerican Propagators/Proven Winners. A graduate of Purdue University, Gravitt-Warschauer holds a bachelor degree in agriculture with a dual major in horticulture and agronomy.  

Ortigosa and Gravitt-Warschauer will report to Craig Whatley, regional business manager for Scotts Professional’s Eastern Region, while Abillama will report to Joe Micco, regional business manager for the Western Region.
